A Master Plan Task Force has been created to help guide the master planning process for the City of Glen Cove in an advisory capacity (as the City Council will ultimately approve the plan). The task force represents a broad cross section of community representatives. Many of the members are long standing residents who have taken on various civic roles. The main role of the Task Force is to arbitrate and deliberate over unresolved issues and advise as to what goes into the draft Master Plan. The Task Force is also expected to participate in Master Plan meetings and workshops and help guide the plan through contentious issues. It is important to note that all the workshop meetings are public, ensuring a transparent planning process which obtains valuable input and feedback.
